A Capitol Hill veteran, Andrew advises clients in the U.S. and abroad who find themselves in high-stakes scenarios with significant reputational and business risk, including government investigations, federal and state policy battles and high-profile litigation. Andrew counsels corporate executives, association CEOs and political leaders, helping them see around corners, apply strict message discipline and execute with delicate precision.

Andrew has a particular expertise in navigating the skepticism and “tech lash” that often occurs when innovation outpaces the perceptions of key stakeholders, including policymakers, activist groups and consumers. Notably, for more than six years, Andrew has advised the U.S. commercial drone industry as it tackles and mitigates safety, security and privacy concerns that perennially threaten to derail the promising technology.

Andrew’s other clients have included a global technology company facing antitrust investigations on both sides of the Atlantic; an insurance and financial services giant implicated in the economic collapse; a major U.S. airline that faced FAA scrutiny over missed inspections; and an African country seeking to restore its image within the international community following post-election violence. Andrew also led the communications effort behind the landmark Supreme Court case that granted habeas corpus rights to detainees imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Earlier in his career, Andrew served as national press secretary for Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and as executive director of the Louisiana Democratic Party, among other positions.

In 2014, Andrew was named to PR Week’s “40 Under 40” list of industry leaders who “demonstrate innovative thinking, strong determination and results that indicate a long and successful career in the PR industry.”
